This movie shows how the dark matter that comprises 5/6 of the matter in our
Universe evolves as time goes by, collapsing into filaments and clusters of galaxies.
The movie starts when the Universe was just 16 million years old, and ends today, 13.8 billions years later. During this period of time, the Universe expands 100 times, but since we 'zoom out' at the same rate, this does not show. The final size of the box is approximately 100 million lightyears (about 1000 times the size of a Milky Way-sized galaxy).
The simulation was conducted using an N-body code written during the AIP summer school on supercomputational cosmology
